Celebrate Independence Day: 3 Great Things to Do in and Around Oro Valley This Fourth of July Weekend

One of the things we love most about living in Oro Valley is the sense of community. Whether you’re a longtime resident or just getting to know the area, the Fourth of July weekend offers plenty of opportunities to celebrate with family, friends, and neighbors.

Here are three local events we’re looking forward to this Independence Day weekend.

1. July 4th Pickleball Tournament & Food Drive for IMPACT of Southern Arizona

Looking for a fun way to celebrate while giving back to the community? The Oro Valley Rotary Club, Overtime Athletics, and The PICKLR have teamed up to host an indoor pickleball tournament benefiting IMPACT of Southern Arizona.

Players of all skill levels are welcome, making this a great event whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just looking to have some fun.

Saturday, July 4, 2026

• Check-in: 9:30 a.m.
• Tournament Play: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Admission is $25 per person or seven non-perishable food items, with all proceeds and donated food benefiting IMPACT of Southern Arizona.

2. Enjoy Dinner with Catalina Mountain Views

After a busy day of celebrating, treat yourself to dinner on one of Oro Valley’s most popular patios.

The patio at The Keg Steakhouse + Bar – Oro Valley offers beautiful Catalina Mountain views and is a wonderful place to relax while enjoying a leisurely Fourth of July evening.

Whether you’re celebrating with family or meeting friends, outdoor dining is one of our favorite ways to enjoy summer in Oro Valley.

3. Oro Valley Fourth of July Celebration

Finish the holiday with one of the community’s signature events.

The annual Fourth of July Celebration takes place at James D. Kriegh Park, featuring live music, food trucks, family activities, and a spectacular fireworks show celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
